January 20 - Lord Senenmut Flanagan visited Al Raqis earlier today to open the newly-established Zenobian embassy. The Noble Lord of Zenobia's leading family gave his approval to the efforts of newly-appointed Ambassador Jai Raghida and Manager of Estates Zeno Baxton.Decorated with art from the private collections of the nobility, the embassy will offer full consular services. Embassy staff will pursue trade and treaty negotiations with the Great Houses of Al Raqis and the settlement of Splintered Rock.
While Zenobia remains a member state in the Union of Allied Planets, she is exercising her right to conclude certain treaties with foreign powers.
Asked if the embassy will be flying the flag of the UAP, Manager of Estates Zeno Baxton said, "We are here to represent House Zenobia. We would never presume to speak for the Central Government. "
A formal opening ceremony will be held at a date to be determined.
