Leading Physician Visits Albion City

August 8 - Dr. Eliza Eaglefeather, newly appointed head physician of the Al Raqis Medical Centre, recently visited Albion City where she toured medical and research facilities.

Highlights included an inspection of an Alliance hospital, and a chat with an AI at the Zénobie Insitut Polytechnique. The tour concluded with an informal dinner with local and visiting dignitaries including Tillery Woodhen, CEO of the Cortex News Service.

Known as an Ambassador of Goodwill, Dr. Eaglefeather has been recognized for her impartial treatment to all in need, and for her neutral stance in interplanetary affairs. "We are honoured to have such a rising star in the medical profession visit our hospitals," said Zenobie Baxton, representative of the Zenobian government.

The doctor's next scheduled stop is Spinwheel City on her whirlwind tour of 34 Tauri.

Girolami Medical Centre Scheduled for Closure

February 4 - Today it was announced that the Girolami Medical Centre, located in the Pleione Province, will be closing its doors later this month.

Famous for charity work both at home and off-world, the Girolami Medical Centre has been recognized as a leader in the interplanetary medical community. Providing services to citizens and non-citizens alike, the hospital has offered an array of services ranging from simple heart bypass and cloned organ transplants to cybernetic implants and nerve and tissue regeneration procedures.

Sources from the Ministry of Health and Reanimation (MOHR) have stated that new facilities are being considered in a number of locations.

Zenobia Opens Embassy on Al Raqis

January 20 - Lord Senenmut Flanagan visited Al Raqis earlier today to open the newly-established Zenobian embassy. The Noble Lord of Zenobia's leading family gave his approval to the efforts of newly-appointed Ambassador Jai Raghida and Manager of Estates Zeno Baxton.

Decorated with art from the private collections of the nobility, the embassy will offer full consular services. Embassy staff will pursue trade and treaty negotiations with the Great Houses of Al Raqis and the settlement of Splintered Rock.

While Zenobia remains a member state in the Union of Allied Planets, she is exercising her right to conclude certain treaties with foreign powers.

Asked if the embassy will be flying the flag of the UAP, Manager of Estates Zeno Baxton said, "We are here to represent House Zenobia. We would never presume to speak for the Central Government. "

A formal opening ceremony will be held at a date to be determined.

Antares over Albion

January 15 - After five long months, the Antares returned home to Zenobia for resupply and crew rotation before again departing our skies for deep space.

Zenobia Eases Travel Restrictions

December 7 - Travel restrictions have been relaxed to and from locations in the Caberfae and Pleione provinces. Priority will be granted to Alliance Personnel, Trade Delegates, Research Contractors, and Medical Staff. Entry and exit visa requirements will now go into effect for non-essential travel.

Experimental Mobile Station Launched

CATZ Offices Burned

October 27 - A total of three offices of the Consolidated Associate Traders of Zenobia were damaged in what can only be called freak accidents when three separate fires erupted within a span of as many days. Fires began over the weekend in CATZ warehouses and offices on MacLaren's Drift, Hale's Moon and Caliban - all worlds out on the Rim.

Faulty electrical wiring is thought to be to blame. A commission of inquiry into the use of substandard construction material in off-world facilities has been launched.

An official from The Ministry of Works has stated for the record, "The use of substandard electrical wiring in any of our facilities is unconscionable. Such practice would put to risk the lives of loyal staff and the good folk of those settlements. We eagerly await the recommendations of the commission of inquiry and support any calls for legal action against the subcontractors responsible should criminal negligence be proven."

Fortunately, no one was injured in these accidents. Property damage estimates are pending.

Royal Reception in Bihar

October 19 - Lord Senenmut Flanagan and staff visited the Bihar Sanctuary, for a private viewing of 19th Century Orientalist art. There in the enchanting atmosphere of the gallery halls, the Lord of Zenobia took the opportunity to select pieces destined for permanent display in the Winter Castle.

Art Dealer, Tevya Shilling hosted the function, offering a warm Bihar welcome to the Royal, and indicating the most popular pieces, on loan from the private collections of Zenobian Nobility. As interest has been high, there is talk of extending the exhibit.

Lord Flanagan's visit to Bihar also included a tour of the local offices of the Consolidated Associate Traders of Zenobia.

Estate Manager Visits Shadow

In the wake of recent attacks on Shadow, Manager of Estates, Zeno Baxton visited the independent colony in order to meet local government official Mikie Rhiadra and to inspect damages to the offices of the Consolidated Associate Traders of Zenobia.

While the CATZ offices themselves sustained no damage, two structures belonging to associated traders, TTW Transport, were destroyed. Baxton stated,"We will be covering the costs TTW incurs rebuilding their operation on Shadow."

In an official statement concerning the attacks, Shadow authorities stated: "The source of the attacks is as yet unknown. We will be working to apprehend the persons behind disrupting our community.

Security Gun Malfunction

A security gun malfunction on an Alexander class, Alliance Transport orbiting Zenobia flooded the vessel with flame on Friday.

Receiving a general distress call, a fleet of civilian vessels rushed to the aid of the transport. No reports of injuries have been received from among these civilians. Authorities are interested in any information concerning those involved in this rescue operation.

Damage to the ship itself was minimal. The replicant crew stood faithfully by their posts during the crisis. The Alexander class transport, built by the Zapedzki Shipyards, is the work horse of the Zenobian fleet as it is able to carry cargo, fuel and low level dignitaries on short to medium range distances.

The Bihar Sanctuary has been blessed by the support of Zenobia.

The Bihar Sanctuary's Museum has provided authentication services to Zenobia and has been greatly enriched by the experience.

Zenobia has a rich historical background, tracing back to Roman Era Syria when Queen Zenobia raised arms against the might of Rome to Saint Zenobius, the first Bishop of Florence Italy, where the Zenobian flourished through the Renaissance Era as rivals to the Medici Family until their final emigration to 34 Tauri and the planet Zenobia.

In the coffers of Zenobia were many pieces of priceless art. On loan to the Bihar Sanctuary's Gallery are over 70 pieces of the finest in 19th Century Orientalist art.

From 1800 to 1930 several European artists (and a few notable Americans) began painting scenes in the Middle East and North Africa. This art movement was termed "Orientalist Art".

Exhibited are 70 pieces we catalogued for display. All of the pieces are in their original proportions and sized according to the resolution of the downloaded texture, with the exception of four pieces which would be larger than 10 meters.

The exhibition is free, any donations go to support the Bihar Sanctuary.

CATZ Office Opens in Londinium

Londinium, the home planet of the Alliance Parliament. Every year Zenobia sends her sons and daughters to there to receive basic training for service in the Alliance Military. Yet up to now Zenobian traders have looked outward toward the border planets and beyond in the development of their trade network.

Now with the ink on the trade permits still wet, the Consolidated Associate Traders of Zenobia (CATZ) have opened offices on one of the two major planets of the 'verse.

In a statement to the press Trade Delegate, Jai Raghilda remarked, "The Consolidated Associate Traders of Zenobia are excited to have this new outlet in Londinium. It is a milestone connecting the Verse from the outermost Rim to the innermost Core."

Secure Warehouse Facility on MacLaren's Drift

Trade traffic through the region of MacLaren's Drift will now have access to a secure warehouse facility under the banner of the Consolidated Associate Traders of Zenobia (CATZ). In an effort to protect cargo on this frontier moon this facility will have the latest in automated security technology.

Trade Delegate, Jai Raghilda, stated, "Despite the great security challenges presented, I think that it will be a valuable addition to the Zenobian Trade Network. MacLaren's is in a key position after the Uroborus Asteroid Belt."

Trade Under the Dome

In the interest of trade expansion throughout the 'verse, the Consolidated Associate Traders of Zenobia (CATZ) have opened offices and warehouse facilities under the dome on Caliban.

Using existing structures abandoned by Alliance personnel with the downsizing of area operations, settlers have made this moon their home. The sturdy dome itself protects the fledgling settlement from the severe environment beyond.

Isolated communities, such as Caliban, have up to now represented an untapped market for the Trade Association. CATZ has made no secret of its plans to offer a network of support for traders operating in these territories.

While critics have pointed to the lawless nature of this colony as reason against establishing a trade facility here, supporters have pointed to the presence of Alliance rapid deployment troops seen in the area as indication that there is no substantive cause for concern.

New Trade Offices in Bihar

In the wake of a localized earthquake that collapsed of many of the wooden structures in Bihar, the Consolidated Associate Traders of Zenobia (CATZ) have opened new trade offices.

Bihar Sanctuary is home to several awe inspiring temples. It is also home to many ancient artifacts from Earth-That-Was, safe under the watchful eye of curator Feargananym Karillion.

Zenobia has long enjoyed a positive relationship with Bihar. Scholars and dignitaries from Bihar have visited the surface of our homeworld prior to current travel restrictions on off-worlders.

Zenobia South Medical Centre

Construction has is near completion on a new state-of-the-art hospital in the Southern Provinces of Zenobia. The facility will house an emergency treatment room, a consulting room, CAT scanner, laboratory, surgery, and ward.

While most of Zenobia's surface is now off-limits to all foreigners, this medical centre will accept persons in need on compassionate grounds. Visitors will be able to transit through the new Zenobia Low Orbital Station.

Antares Leaves Orbit

The "Antares"

Visitors to Zenobia over the past few months were often in awe at the sight of the Deep Space Alliance Cruiser "Antares" docked at the low orbital station.

With the old station being decommissioned and the surface of Zenobia being closed to foreigners, it is a small wonder that the "Antares" herself also makes this her time to depart our skies.

The lonely road

The crew of the "Antares" are a fine mixture of proud veterans and fresh recruits to the Alliance Military. Our best wishes go out to them and their families as these men and women who have watched our borders go to serve on other worlds and colonies.

Precious cargo

Along with her compliment of Alliance military, the "Antares" is also carrying a cargo precious to all native Zenobians. The relics of St. Zenobius have been removed from their chapel in the Northern Provinces of Zenobia and taken into secure custody in the wake of recent terrorist activity.

Terrorists Strike Medical Research Facility

A small group of terrorists attacked the Angel of Mercy Medical Research Facility this week destroying vaccine stocks scheduled for distribution to the outer colonies.

With research staff already reassigned to other centers and a majority of the laboratory equipment moved or in storage, damages to the facility itself were negligible. However, the actual human cost cannot be measured for some time as the absence of viable vaccines slowly makes itself apparent.

Military officials have released the following statement "As no group has claimed direct responsibility for this outrage, blanket measures must be instituted at once to preserve the security of Zenobia." Meanwhile, rewards are being offered for information leading to the apprehension of those responsible.

In the wake of this attack, a current bill restricting foreigner travel to the Zenobian surface is expected to pass Parliament early next week.

Old Station to be Replaced

It was only a matter of time.

The Zenobia Low Orbital Station is currently making her last few orbits. In just under three weeks, the powerful engines keeping her aloft will be turned off and she will burn up re-entering the atmosphere.

"It's in her bones," said one station engineer, "Metal fatigue has set in. It's time to let her go."

Meanwhile construction has begun of a new station over the planet's southern continent.

The Chapel of St. Zenobius

Mirra Zanzibar of the Bihar Sanctuary Department of Antiquities visited Zenobia earlier today. She has kindly agreed to conduct the formal inspection the casket containing the relics of St. Zenobius prior to its official installation.

Newly appointed Manager of Estates, Zeno Baxton, remarked, "We are honored to have such a distinguished person come to our lands and perform this important service. "

St. Zenobius was the first bishop of Florence Italy, through which the Zenobian nobility claim their ancestry.

Trade Delegation to Hale's Moon

Expanding it's network of trade offices, the Consolidated Associate Traders of Zenobia (CATZ) have now opened offices on Hale's Moon.

The office will be a place for traders to arrange for the secure movement of both cargo and passengers. Located near the main landing pad, it will house a small permanent staff. In addition, shipping containers and up-to-date navigation charts will be available at this location.

Market watchers have applauded this move to strengthen economic ties with the established mining colony. It is also hoped that high-quality agricultural products from Zenobia will find a market on Hale's Moon.

Trade Delegation to Shadow

While many view this hopeful sign that this outreach is the first step towards formal diplomatic recognition of Shadow by Zenobia, the move has angered some military hardliners who have called for a trade embargo with the break-away colony.
